Bringing the Industry Together: How Our Charity Cricket Day Continues to Score for Good Causes
Every year, our Charity Cricket Day brings the industry together for a day of friendly competition, fundraising and community spirit. From exciting cricket and family entertainment to raising more than £5,000 for charity, here’s a look back at another unforgettable event and the incredible people who made it all possible.
Every summer, our Charity Cricket Day brings together customers, suppliers, colleagues, friends and families for a day of cricket, fundraising and community spirit. What began as an idea to revive the industry’s much-loved charity cricket matches has grown into one of the highlights of the calendar, and this year’s event was our biggest yet.
We’re incredibly proud to have raised more than £5,000 for three fantastic charities: Bacta Charitable Trust, Variety – The Children’s Charity and St Giles Hospice. Every penny raised will help these organisations continue their amazing work, making all the planning and hard work worthwhile.
Hosted at Walton Cricket Club, Cricket Day is about much more than what happens on the pitch. Alongside the matches, guests enjoyed a barbecue, live music from our Jigsaw Entertainment System, comedy commentary, a charity darts competition, live sport and, of course, a very popular ice cream van. Whether people came to play, support or simply enjoy a summer’s day with family and friends, there was something for everyone.

Events like this simply wouldn't be possible without the incredible support of our sponsors, volunteers and everyone who attended. We'd like to say a huge thank you to Electrocoin, SilverTime, Club 3000 Bingo, the Bingo Association, Bacta, Inspired Entertainment, Game Nation, Shipley Creative, Buzz Bingo, Cowells Arrow, Mecca Bingo, DG Creative Media, Castle Amusements, Gaming Solutions, Midlands Wealth Solutions, Palace Amusements, The Rudd Group, Coinslot, Event Booth, Legacy AV and TVC Technology Solutions. We'd also like to recognise our fantastic volunteers, many of whom gave up their annual leave to help organise and run the day.
Despite temperatures reaching around 33°C, the competition was as close as ever. After each team claimed one victory in the round-robin stage, the tournament came down to a dramatic captains’ bowl-off, where Boomerang secured its first-ever Cricket Day title. There were plenty of standout performances throughout the day, but perhaps the biggest highlight was seeing first-time players getting involved, enjoying themselves and embracing everything Cricket Day is about.
Over the last three years, the event has continued to grow, attracting more sponsors, more supporters and raising more money for charity each year. More importantly, it has become a fantastic opportunity for the industry to come together away from the day-to-day, strengthen relationships and support causes that make a real difference.

We're already looking ahead to Cricket Day 2027 and exploring ways to make it even bigger, while keeping the friendly, inclusive atmosphere that has made it such a success. Whether you're looking to play, sponsor, volunteer or simply come along to enjoy the day, everyone is welcome.
